Kyanite Stone Beads
Another
name of Kyanite stone beads is "Disthene". From the Greek
word "Kyanos", the name kyanite has been derived. Kyanos
means blue and it is inevitable from this name that these beads are
found in blue color. A beautiful blue color hue comes out from these
beads. Sometime, the color hue also comes out in bluish green color
shade. These beads come under rare beads category and are brittle in
nature. For making various kind of jewelries, like earrings,
pendants, brooches etc., these beads are used. Besides jewelry
industry, they are also used in chemical industries for
manufacturing of heat resistant and spark plugs ceramics. These
beads are shiny and translucent and their harness also vary. The
zodiac signs of these beads are Libra, Aries and Taurus. As they are
brittle in nature, therefore while cutting them into several
attractive shapes and designs, utmost care must be paid.Kyanite Stones

The Latin name of Kyanite stone is Kyanos, which means blue. These are typical silicate minerals having blue color. These minerals are usually found in aluminum rich metamorphic pegmatites and/or sedimentary rocks. these mineral stones belonging to the alumino-silicate series. As these mineral stones are powerfully Anisotropic therefore, their hardness depends upon their crystallographic direction.
These stones are found either in transparent form or in translucent form. The major colors in which they are available are white, green, gray and black. Their crystal system is Triclinic. These stones are brittle in their nature. The other few associated minerals which are found along with Kyanite are Sillimanite, Micas, Garnets, Staurolite, Andalusite etc. the notable occurrence places of these mineral stones are North Carolina and Georgia (both in U.S.A), Brazil, Russia, India, Switzerland and Kenya.
