Desert Glass Stone

Desert glass is a natural glass composed of nearly pure silica. It occurs in pieces in the Sand Sea of the Libyan desert. It is believed that the glass was formed from melted desert sand dune and cooled over a period in the Earth's atmosphere. It was made by the action of an asteroid hitting the sand and causing it to vaporize into beautiful pieces of glass.
