Do not buy the princess cut diamond that has shallow crown height as the shallow crown height leads to less luster and will look approximately flat. Also these have large table facets.

Also check if the princess cut diamond ring has been protected from all of its four corners or not.

Then check the four C's of diamond that are carat, cut, color and clarity. Cut you know i.e. princess cut diamond, carat is the unit of weight in which one carat is equal to the 1/5th of a gram, color is the visible part of this precious stone and clarity refers to the internal flaws, Less the internal flaws more the clarity. These are actually the impurities that affect the appearance of the stone.
